Tim Harper
Tim is an experienced educational leader and an accredited Growth Coaching International Coach with a passion for supporting others to improve.
Tim has had a long career in education working in a variety of roles in the Victorian Education system as a teacher, educational leader, principal, network chair and senior education improvement leader. Tim has worked as a principal class officer for 15 years in a number of schools, most recently as the Principal of Elisabeth Murdoch College.
As a system leader Tim has worked on numerous department reference groups as well as driving professional learning at a network level on the Mornington Peninsula. He initiated and drove the establishment of the Langwarrin Positive Education Network and THRIVE initiative and continues to contribute to this critical developmental work.
Coaching and mentoring is fundamental to Tim’s daily practice having worked with many first-time principals and aspiring leaders through various Bastow programs such as Mentoring for First Time Principals, the Evolve Program and more recently through school-based coaching consultation at a number of Victorian government primary and secondary schools.
Tim’s leadership and pedagogical coaching experience extends beyond education having worked in a high-level sport environment with the Melbourne Cricket Club. Coaching in this environment provided access to current best practice in developing young people and building on a skill base leading to international representation. Tim further expanded his coaching and leadership experience through piloting a formal partnership with AusPost executives established in 2014.
Tim has a Bachelor of Arts, Diploma of Education, is an accredited GCI coach and will soon gain accreditation in GENOS International training.
